Gabrielle "Gabby" Fugate is a Victim Advocate here at the center. She will be graduating with her Associates degree in May 2024 at Hazard Community and Technical College. Her educational goal is to obtain her Master of Social Work degree to become a therapist. She loves traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

Dylan was born and raised in Southeast, KY. He has a son who’s the light of his life. Dylan enjoys being outside, traveling, and spending time with his family in his free time. He is pursuing a career in the mental health field with the goal of being a Trauma Therapist.

Dani is an alumna of the University of Kentucky where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work. Her previous work in the area of homelessness and housing inspired Dani to become a social worker, and she also has experience with a diverse range of client populations. Dani’s goal is to support and empower survivors and their families through trauma therapy.

Joseph is Midway University Alumni. There he received a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration. Additionally, he has an Associate of Business Management from Midway, as well as, an Arts and Science degree from Hazard Community and Technical College. He is extremely passionate about social justice work and believes that education is a key component in curving and preventing racism in today's society. Joseph realized his passion for serving his community through organizing efforts in lieu of the tragic death of George Floyd in 2020 when he facilitated "Hazards Peaceful Protest", followed by a vigil for the late Breonna Taylor the same Summer. Joseph then landed a role as the Community Recovery Specialist for Eastern Kentucky through the American Red Cross National Headquarters, coinciding with the devastating flooding in 2022, which only bolstered his new found love of serving his community. In his free time he loves to travel with his fiancé and being on the lake or beach. At home he spends quality time with his dog "Blaze" and their cat "Jack".

Alexis Gross is the Program Assistant at The Rising Center. Alexis has a son with autism. Alexis loves to do crafty things, such as crocheting in her spare time. Alexis enjoys helping others and hopes to pursue a career in serving her community.
