Holly Combs, L.P.A. is the Director of The Rising Center. She is a Licensed Psychological Associate in Kentucky. Holly has a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Morehead State University and has over six years of clinical experience. She began working with The Rising Center initially as a designated therapist, providing clinical services to survivors in Breathitt County. She is now the Director of The Rising Center. Jennifer Riley-Bowling, Victim Advocate & Crisis Counselor

 

Jennifer has a bachelor of arts in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminology and a double minor in Social Work and Interdisciplinary Women's Studies from Morehead State University. In addition, she holds a master of science in Criminal Justice from Florida Metropolitan University and is also currently pursuing a master of science in Social Work. Jennifer has over twenty years of experience in the human services and criminal justice field. She is also an active board member with several local substance abuse coalitions in the area. Jennifer is a board member and support group facilitator with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). She enjoys spending time with her family and engaging her free time in missionary work and working with animals. Andrea Melton, Advocate/Crisis Counselor

 

At this time, Andrea serves Kentucky River Community Care's northern counties: Breathitt, Lee, Owsley, and Wolfe. She provides legal and medical advocacy with short-term crisis counseling to victims and their families. She also provides psycho-educational groups to community partners. Andrea has an associate degree in Applied Science in Human Services and an associate of arts degree from Hazard Community & Technical College. In addition, she has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Brescia University and is a Licensed Social Worker. Andrea also holds certification as a Substance Abuse Recovery Coach.

Brandi Mosley, Program Manager

Brandi serves as the System Coordinator of all center activities and is the point of contact for all service needs. She is the mother of one teenage daughter. Brandi studied Graphic Design at Morehead State University and has extensive experience in marketing and business administration. Patricia Crone, Clinical Facilitator

Patricia Crone, M. A., L. P. A. T. is the Clinical Facilitator of The Rising Center. She is a licensed Art Therapist in Kentucky and provides clinical supervision for designated therapists and staff as well as trainings. She also provides clinical services to victims and their families. Patricia received her M. A. from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles in Clinical Art Therapy. She served as the Chair of the Kentucky Art Therapy Board from 2002-2005 and has also been the state mental health representative on the Multidisciplinary Team Commission for Ky. since 2006. Patricia has worked in this field since 1999, when she was the Designated Coordinator for child sexual abuse for the Kentucky River Region. She coauthored a book titled Using Drawings in Assessment and Therapy: A Guide for Mental Health Professionals, now in its second edition. She also has one son and one daughter. LaShane Nix, Prevention Educator

LaShane Nix is The Rising Center's Prevention Educator and strives to make the community a safer place through implementation of the Green Dot program. LaShane attended Lindsey Wilson College, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Human Services and Counseling. Since graduating, LaShane has held various positions in the helping field, gathering skills along the way to become a more well-rounded and efficient caregiver. In her spare time, LaShane enjoys spending quality time with her loved ones (shout-out to Tammy, Laken, and Melissa), reading, writing, personal growth, drinking excessive amounts of coffee, hyena-level laughing, etc. ad infinitum. Mallory Terry, Volunteer Coordinator

Mallory serves as the Center's Volunteer Coordinator. She has a bachelor of science in biology with a minor in chemistry and also has an associate degree in Nursing. She is currently attending Eastern Kentucky University, where she is pursuing her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In her free time, she enjoys being a mother to her three girls and enjoying time with here fiancé, friends, and family.
